You must adhere to both the minimum and the maximum page limits.Your paper must be in current APA, MLA, or Turabian style (whichever corresponds to your degree program). If you need assistance with how to format your paper, please click the following link: http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/560/01/ You can also find a sample paper in the Assignment Instructions section of Blackboard. The sample is for Option A. Option B is formatted in the same way, but with different section titles. This assignment is due by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Friday of Module/Week 8.Guidelines for Option AIf you are a believer, then you are required to witness to an unbeliever (as defined by this course) during the time restraint of this course. The encounter that you write about must be face-to-face or on the phone (not a virtual encounterâvia Internet, email, instant messaging, etc.), and it must occur while you are enrolled in this particular course. You are not permitted to document a âmockâ or ârole-playedâ witnessing encounter. If you start a conversation with someone and discuss your faith with him or her but through the conversation you find out that he or she was already saved prior to your conversation, you must find another individual who is not saved to witness to and document the account for this report. You are not required to witness to a stranger; you may witness to anyone who is not a believer, even if it is a family member, coworker, or friend. The body of your report must be presented in 3 parts as follows:PART ONEâWhat method of evangelism did you use and how did you start the conversation? What method did you use? Why did you choose to use that method? How did you start the conversation? NOTE: If you choose to use the methods of Lifestyle, Friendship, Servant, or a similar type of evangelism, keep in mind that âproclamationâ is part of these methods. Dr. Earley and Dr. Wheeler speak about this extensively in your textbook. For the purpose of this assignment, proclamation must be a part of your encounter. If you have any questions, contact your instructor for clarification.PART TWOâWhat was the reaction (questions/comments/statements) of the unbeliever? For example, was he or she hostile, penitent, curious, confused, etc.? Explain, offer examples, paraphrase quotes, etc.PART THREEâHow did you conclude the conversation in order to follow up? If the person accepted Christ, did you give him or her the name of a church to attend, invite him or her to a Bible study, give him or her your phone number or a Bible, etc.? If the person did not accept Christ, did you set up another time to talk, give him or her a tract, invite him or her to church, give him or her your phone number or a Bible, etc.?NOTE: Do not use the full name of the individual to whom you witnessed. Limit your references to his or her initials only. You will not be penalized if the individual does not accept Christ during this witnessing encounter. Salvation is the work of the Holy Spirit! You will, however, be graded on whether you adequately fulfill the requirements of each part of this report and are able to document this clearly and succinctly through your report.Guidelines for Option BElaborate on the statement, âWhy I am still not a Christian as defined by this course,â in order to fulfill this assignment. Provide the reasons why you have not accepted Christ if you have not. In addition, respond in general to the teachings that you have heard/studied within this courseâare there any points of agreement/disagreement? You will not receive a lower grade if you choose this option. You will be treated with equal respect as those who choose the main option for this paper. Your honesty will be appreciated.
