AIM:
The primary aim of assignment 2 is to give you the opportunity to begin developing your
academic writing skills while exploring topics that are integral to your development as a
beginning nurse clinician.
After completing this assignment it is expected that you will have a good understanding of
the historical, political and socio-cultural influences that shape healthcare and healthcare
access in Australian society. This assignment will also serve to identify any issues or
concerns you may have regarding academic writing. Early intervention to rectify any issues
of concern will be beneficial for you for the remainder of the Bachelor of Nursing program.
INSTRUCTIONS:
In module 1, topics 3 & 4 you examined:

2. Power and politics in the practice of nursing
In module 4, topics 2 & 3 you examined:
1. Cultural awareness
2. Nurses working with First Australian Peoples
