The project will contain references that reflect that you have looked outside your text for related information that
supports your recommendations. These references should be clearly documented in text of your report and in the
Reference Page of your paper.
Selecting a business/corporation/organization that can be actively observed and evaluated to gather information
is necessary to complete the research project. A comprehensive evaluation of human resource and business
practices is to be examined for the purpose of incorporation into the research project. This project will consist of
approximately 1600 words, in a format addressing three parts:
Part 1 Company Profile
Part 2 Identified Problem Areas
Part 3 Consultant Recommendations
Hopefully this will give you sufficient guidance to format and develop your project. The first step is to identify
the company you will be examining. I recommend that it be a company that you know or have good access to
information about the company. It is best to select a company with at least 50 employees and a one that is not so
huge you would not see yourself as their HR consultant. As simple as these guidelines are, you will find your
task much easier and more relatively effective if you use them.
Using the Internet to reference related material is advised to expand understanding and research current
available facts. Always hyperlink to the exact location being referenced to facilitate the instructor and other
students to quickly find and review the reference being shared.
I do not expect you to develop a power point presentation and I do not recommend that you do that. I rather
expect you to develop a case that clarifies what your company should do to avoid problems in the stated area.
What specifically would you advise policy, action plan etc whatever sub titles you select to justify the potential
problem and solutions you know are essential. You pick your own format as long as you use as a basis the three
above stated areas.
Be sure to limit your input to the minimum required amount or as close to that as possible. 1600 words is the
desired length. It is often harder to express things in brief format than in much more space. This is a common
concern in business today. In order to receive the appropriate attention, one must be able to concisely
communicate their ideas thoroughly. This will be one of those exercises. More words or input in this case can
count against you while you must also complete the assigned task. A challenge to be sure.
