This makes for a rather long sentence, I know, but the thesis statement should clearly state your position and reasons for believing it in one sentence. Your reader doesnât want to look all over the essay to find those reasons.So now you have three reasons and each of these reasons you will develop as a separate topic introduced by a topic sentence. (See the checklist, guidelines and rubric you used for your quizzes. ) Then within each topic, which might take one or two paragraphs at most, you would summarize what you chose is the best evidence from the articles that discusses that topic.If your thesis is clear and forcefully stated, your reader will automatically be looking for those reasons to be developed in the body of your essay.
