Scenario
You have recently been hired as the new ______________ coach (you determine the sport) at Mid State
University. The program you are coaching has been in existence for years. The former head coach decided to
retire last year with an overall winning record, several conference championships and appearances in regional
tournaments over the course of his tenure. The last five years, however, the team has finished in the middle of
the conference standings, making it to playoffs each year, but falling just short of the conference tournament
title, keeping the team from regional play. The athletic director and members of the search committee stressed
